Traynor YCV 50B Custom Valve

The Traynor YCV50B is a reworking of one of the most popular amplifiers Traynor has even made. Take the incredibly successful YCV50Blue, revamp it with an all-black tolex covering and black grille cloth and you have the dark and menacing Traynor YCV50B. Real tube overdrive is provided by three premium 12AX7A dual triode preamp tubes while the 50 watts of real tube power is provided by two EL34 power tubes driving the single Celestion™ Vintage 30 speaker.

The YCV40WR is based off of the already extremely popular YCV40, which was a past Guitar Player™ Editor's Pick Award Winner.
Real tube overdrive is provided by three 12AX7WA dual triode preamp tubes while real tube power is provided by two 5881WXT beam power tubes. The internal gadgetry in this channel switching amp provides good flexibility, but makes it very easy to get a great tone. The combination of the tube power and the Celestion™ Vintage 30 speaker is magical. The YCV40WR is very much the same internally as our already popular YCV40.

Simple Gain, Bass, Treble and Master controls allow easy access to the perfect amp sound on stage or in the studio. A Tonestack switch allows for either Brit or USA voicings or the "Pure" mode which bypasses the tone stack entirely, delivering a mid and overall gain boost allowing for the most direct signal path possible between your fingers and the speaker.
